Curriculum

Early Eductaion Curriculum
State Standards in All Grade Levels

We strive to have a curriculum that provides for the complete needs of every child: spiritual, emotional, social, and physical.  The subjects taught at our school are similar to those taught in a public school, except that we hold daily devotions, religion classes for all levels.  Since we believe that God's Word is important in the lives of our students, memorizing Bible passages is a part of the curriculum.

For secular subjects we use reputable publishers who produce effective materials.  The "constant review" approach of Saxon Math, for example, teaches students exceptionally well, and we have seen students' scores rise on achievement testing.  We use Harcourt Brace for our reading curriculum in grades one to four, and thereafter, we use a literature approach, as we seek to promote a love of reading through excellent literature.

Our teachers use a wide variety of instructional materials and methods around the core curriculum.  Teachers also strive to meet individual needs of the students by adapting our curriculum.  This is easily done in a multi-grade classroom since students can readily be moved to the level that best meets the needs of each student.
