An Easter Egg Hunt for children will be held after the service.
I want to come, what should I expect?
When should I arrive? It probably is best to try to arrive at about 10 minutes early. That will allow you plenty of time to get settled before the service begins.
What If I’m a little late? Don’t worry about it! Just come on in! The ushers will be there to help you find a seat if you’re a few minutes late.
How long will the service last? The service will last about an hour.
How should I dress? Traditionally, many people like to dress nicely for church. Common dress at Mt Calvary ranges from casual (nice jeans and collared shirt) to business casual to shirt and tie for men, and from jeans to dresses for women. Honestly people wear all different kinds of clothing.
What is the service like? It will feature Bible readings that tell us about Easter — whether it is the account of Easter morning, or other sections of the Bible that either foreshadowed Easter or explain its significance. It will also feature singing, music, and prayer.
I have kids, what should I do with them? At Mt. Calvary we believe that it is important for a child to learn to participate in worship, even at an early age. At the same time, we know that this is sometimes challenging for both children and parents. If your child cries, no problem! We believe that those cries are the cries coming from our church’s future. However, if you feel the need to take your child out of church, there is a mother’s room across the hallway from the restrooms. This room has a window to view into the Sanctuary and a speaker which allows those in the Mother's room to still hear what is going on in the service. For toddlers and young children, there are also busy bags available. Ask an usher if need help finding them.
